# The beach crab eats everything and creates an imbalance in the Little Belt

There are unusually many beach crabs in the Little Belt. The rise of crabs is due, among other things, to the fact that there are not so many cod in Danish waters. Fewer cod yields more crabs because the cod would otherwise eat the little crabs. When the crabs instead eat loose fish eggs, it leads to even fewer cod. Therefore, it is a good idea to fish and catch crabs. Take them home and eat them instead of putting them back in the sea, the rest we hand over to the local crab fisherman.
